This blog will focus on something everybody enjoys: Beer! Well, maybe you don’t like beer but this blog is still for you because it digs deeper into the fascinating story of MobCraft Beer.
I met Henry Schwartz of MobCraft about a year ago while attending the Egg Harbor Ale Fest in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin. That was the first true craft beer festival that I had ever been to. Truth be told I went there to solicit my creative services to whoever may have been in need of branding, package design or what have you. Anyway, I tried every beer and then I stopped by Henry’s booth and had a taste of his IPA – it was probably the best IPA I have ever had.
I then started talking shop with him about his operation. I quickly learned that his business model was crowd sourcing recipes via users voting online, which basically meant that he would have an entirely new beer to offer every single month. What a cool concept!
Fast forward to yesterday, where I had lined Henry up as a guest speaker on behalf of the Fox River Ad Club. He came in very prepared with a business savvy that really impressed me. Henry is very entrepreneurial by nature – MobCraft was developed and brought to fruition via a start-up incubator about 2 years ago. He was just out of college and his two partners dumped their life savings into MobCraft…that is taking a serious risk. His business model is unique and his branding is excellent, as evidenced below:
